Step aside, florals - there's a new plant in town
In all seriousness, no digs at floral arrangements. Florists are truly artists to be admired!
Succulents have become increasingly popular for wedding decor recently, and for good reason.
They're a sustainable alternative to cut flower arrangements
They use little water (in Arizona it is especially prudent to be water-wise!)
Endlessly reusable and self-propagating
Plant rentals are a more economical option
A unique and modern take on wedding decor
If you're having an outdoor wedding, they'll tolerate any condition that you will for the duration of a ceremony and reception!
Just look at those colors!!
These grand ceremony pieces feature handmade, custom planters and stands. It was quite the treat (and feat!) to bring this all together for an awesome couple's wedding day. Which brings me to my inception story - don't worry, I'll keep this brief.
Sedona Plantscapes was brand new when I got an inquiry from someone engaged to be wed, asking if I could make big succulent arrangements for their wedding day. This had not at all on my radar, but I loved the idea of custom wedding arrangements!
(And heck, I'll go wherever the wind blows!)
They were traveling to Sedona for their wedding, so we decided on a rental agreement so that they wouldn't have to bring hundreds of purchased plants back home with them.
So what does a little plantscaping business do with all these succulents?
Well, we're in the wedding biz, now!
I'm still obsessed with lush living walls and tropical plants, but you'll find me marveling at the beauty and resiliency of succulents this coming season!
Happy growing,
Bri
